North Ray Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Training

LEARN THE ROOTS.
FIND YOUR VOICE.

Most teacher trainings focus on hours and information. Ours focuses on what’s often missing after graduation: teacher identity, nervous system literacy, and the confidence to hold space with integrity. Rooted in Hatha-based and Vinyasa Yoga, you’ll study the philosophy and history of yoga beyond the poses, functional anatomy, intelligent sequencing, and the ethics and business of teaching. Practice teaching begins right away, so you build real skill through repetition, mentorship, and feedback. You’ll learn to adapt for different bodies and abilities, and to teach from your own authentic voice rather than imitate someone else’s. Led by studio owners and E-RYT 500 trainers, this is both a professional education and a personal journey.

Who This Training Is For

You don’t need to be a teacher yet, or to want to teach at North Ray, to be a great fit. We’re looking for people who:

  • Come curious. You ask questions and want to understand the “why” behind the practice.

  • Welcome feedback. You’re willing to be seen, try things, and adjust.

  • Show up with presence. You’re ready to practice, engage with others, and commit to your own practice during the training.

  • Care about people. You want to learn how to create a safe, welcoming space for different bodies and experiences.

Where this training takes you is up to you. We hope it deepens your practice and helps you share yoga wherever you feel called, though completion doesn’t guarantee a teaching opportunity at North Ray Yoga.

  • “North Ray challenges me and restores me at the same time. No other studio has struck that balance.”

    Jordan R.

  • “From the first class, I felt like I belonged here. The teachers are real, grounded, and supportive.”

    Marisa K.

  • “The community is unlike anything I’ve experienced. I came for the workout but stayed for the connection.”

    Chris P.
